Ritter Planetarium
Sat., Nov. 17, 7:00 p.m.
"Join us for an evening of old-time radio and space-age images. We will be playing the 1938 radio broadcast of War of the Worlds, written by H.G. Wells and originally presented by Orson Welles and the CBS Mercury Theater on the Air. During the broadcast, we will be watching breathtaking imagery and video of the planet of Mars on the planetarium dome overhead. After the presentation, we will briefly discuss recent and planned NASA missions to the red planet, and end the evening with a look at Mars through the telescope at Brooks Observatory (weather permitting)."
