10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Have you ever wondered what it would have been like to welcome spring on a farm 100 years ago? Enjoy a day of fun together with your children or grandchildren seeing baby animals, playing old-fashioned games, watching sheep shearing or planting a sunflower the garden. During this hands-on day of fun you can also experience horseradish grating, window washing, rope making, wigwam building and more!

Educational Day Trips: Fort Wayne
A great free day trip, if you happen to have COSI and Toledo Zoo memberships, is this duo in Fort Wayne:
- Fort Wayne Children's Zoo - This is my children's favorite zoo. It is aimed at children, with kid-friendly exhibits, lots of rides (train, carousel, canoes, pony rides, and more), and a Dairy Queen in the middle of the rainforest trek! It is only open from mid-April to mid-October, but it makes a great spring or fall trip.
- Science Central - This is my favorite science center! The two story giant yellow slide is a hit with the children, too.
Drive back up 24 from Indian and you can stop at the A&W in Antwerp, Ohio, a drive-in where they still bring the food out to your car.
Educational Day Trip: Ann Arbor
There is enough to learn in Ann Arbor to make several day trips. My two favorites: (find more at this visitor's guide.)
- Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum - This museum is similar to COSI in Toledo, but with enough different exhibits to make it worth its own visit. Admission is free with a COSI membership, too.
- The Scrap Box - This store sells discarded materials that can be used for art and craft projects. There are samples all over the store to inspire you. This is a great source for rolls of paper, collage materials, and more. They keep limited hours, so check the site before you go.
